This Skin Rip kimono jacket combines silver futuristic luxury with bodily hues of pink flesh. At the back, from shoulder to shoulder, is a chunky white plastic chain.
The pink and silver outer fabric was created by hand drawing the torn skin shapes on paper and cutting them out of the pink fabric. From there they were sewn onto the silver wood-grain polyester fabric with a zig-zag stitch in pale pink. Care was taken to match up the edges of each colour at each seam. This time intensive process resulted in a unique textile and a pattern that will never be exactly reproduced.
